@trej
I can’t speak for apples to apples performance like the based devs can, but as small business owner of a couple companies it’s changed the game irrevocably. (Specifically, Google’s AI Ultra package)
The ecosystem of google products being able to interact with consent with all of your stored data has COMPLETELY and I do mean completely negated need for every other software/app I was using before.
Most platforms are just UI’s for data manipulation; the example I like using is about the CRM. CRM is used for lead management, triggers, retargeting messaging etc. but the user has to create every action he wants to perform using a system designed by the psychology of someone who thinks they know what you want.
(As an example)
since it’s all data already stored in drive, or calendar or email you can negate the entire platform by asking Gemini to set a trigger for any new onboarded client booked through a consult call (Cal Event) a welcome email and then an upsell email 2 weeks later. And a trigger to retarget if they leave. But no need to learn a new UI, no settings learning curve, no updates to manage or asking the team who performed which task. It’s all locally available just once ask away.

Websites were the UI of the internet. Now we no longer need help navigating the internet with UI’s.
Now we have chat to action. Chat to automation. Chat to process billing (just made that one today and it feels good to reduce my billing day from 8 hours to 15 minutes).
It’s only possible for an entire ecosystem to migrate operations over because it’s all local on Google.
Just my small humble opinion from a very specific use case.
