I was introduced to ‘Honey Mustard’ from McDonald’s as a child.
Unbeknownst to me that it was literally just Honey and Mustard mixed together at essentially a 50/50 ratio.
Even though what you get is on the name I had thought that a new style of flavor was created by McDonalds and they had chosen to call it ‘Honey Mustard’
Is this an example perfect branding to a naive audience, marketing a niche product to an untapped market or PMF?
I regularly think about how I might be effected by the same condition in hundreds of other categories but don’t realize it because it is t a simple 50/50 ratio recipe to understand the structure/philosophy.
