βwhat matters most: passion or competence that was inborn. berkshire is full of people who have a passion for their business. i would argue passion is more important than brain power.β charlie munger keep going!

firstly, "kind of" isnβt in my vocabulary, either ideas connect or they donβt. in this case they do relate. the intrinsic passion connects to decentralized consistency (durability is something you can't easily measure unless you look at the 5yr, 10yr+, yoy long run over time) the obsession you have makes you grind through the hard parts which compounds over time vs extrinsic incentives, fragile motivation (move the carrot and commitment wobbles)
