Some thoughts for the timeline, Bitcoin didn’t raise a seed round. Ethereum didn’t start with a “go-to-market” plan. These networks emerged from ideological fermentation, community feedback loops, and a willingness to look wrong for long enough to eventually be right. I keep wondering why it’s so hard for teams to replicate that these days

Very true. They also both had some rather selfless visionaries with no strings attached to any VC. Think what you want about Vitalik but he’s the closest crypto figure, ideologically speaking, to a present-day Satoshi. It really takes a special kind of founder character to build those long-burn, open-ended projects
