Seeing a lot of interest in financial incentives for running a Snapchain node. I get it deeply. I’m a big ETH head and ran self-hosted validators for friends/family for over 4 years straight. I love that people want to contribute to the network.
The hard part is tokenomics. A token only makes sense if the protocol has enough decentralized functionality. We’re not there right now, and to be clear, there are no plans for a token. However our team is not dogmatically opposed to the idea. Right now the work is decentralizing more of Farcaster such as channels, infra, dev tooling, grants like CEF and growing the builder ecosystem.
