Hot take: Our fiat money is fundamentally broken. 💥 ⚡️ Here is why stablecoins matter. People forget that fiat money can be weaponized. People forget that fiat money can be printed endlessly. People forget that fiat money can be taken from you overnight. Over the past 100 years we've watched: 👉 The German Mark collapse. 👉 The Argentine Peso melt down. 👉 The Lebanese Pound lose 90%. 👉 Bank accounts in Cyprus and Canada frozen or seized. 👉 Transactions blocked for activists, journalists, and protestors. 👉 Inflation and devaluation wipe out life savings, over and over. This is what fiat money looks like today: Censorship. Inflation. Devaluation. Surveillance. Confiscation. A fragile, permissioned system you have to beg to use. And pay high fees for.
