The worst part of an injury isn't the future workouts you miss, but rather the momentum and progress you lose. (Currently nursing an injured wrist from boxing 🥲)

The absolute worst, feels like you go back to zero. I have a lower back that gives me issues every once in a while. The worst thing ever when you can’t work out. Hang in there Todd you’ll be back.

Taking time to rest, recover, and ground oneself is essential and overlooked. I like how my seasonal outdoor sports are conducive to that.

Can almost always find ways to work around it. For a wrist injury perhaps focus on improving lower body range of motion and single leg strength in pistol progressions? You can also do sprint work via running. It's also a good idea to do single arm stuff on the good arm, ie negative pull ups, elevated 1 arm pushups

yes, especially if you are on a good streak. However, you can still make progress and enjoy other workouts without straining the injured parts. Often you can also focus on stretches / mobility for recovery which are good exercises to continuously do as warm up even if you recovered.

My wife's tailbone was broken in a car accident that wasn't her fault. The injury destroyed her spirit and momentum for life in general. That was October 21st 2023. She's still has lower back pain. No amount of money could compensate for everything lost. Absolutely get what you mean.
