a couple days ago, a talented AI animator approached me and said they loved what @betrmint was doing, loved the retro neon aesthetic and were open to commissions if we ever wanted to jam. I replied that unfortunately, the mini app is pretty bootstrapped for now and @netnose and I are handling everything in-house. But then I had an idea: What if they created a short animation for us and minted it on @base, and we could feature it in an upcoming round and give him 100% of the proceeds. He agreed to give it a try, so we gave him an advance and now he’s cooking. 🔥 New primitives, new possibilities.

the phrase "ai animator" makes my face go like that. never like knocking anyone's craft or wanna come off as an ai hater because i do think it's a fun tool to play with, but it just quickly becomes more and more disheartening and i deff understand why so many lifelong artists go back to web2 work.
