“Romanticism” is the overwhelming desire for one single thing to be everything in itself. We experience it most commonly about erotic love, but it can also apply to philosophy, politics, business — anything really. The plus of being romantic is that it creates epic seekers. The minus is that you’re seeking for something that’s not in this world.

Spiritually, the seeking of that ideal which is not in the world leads to that ideal being inside the person, and is the person. Would you say, in spirituality, is the only field where that ideal has been “had” - buddha, eckart, rumi, hadiz, rabbia, etc?

Have you ever romanticized something like a relationship, career, or belief. only to realize later that you were chasing an ideal that doesn’t exist in reality?😔

Very true. I tend to romanticize crypto projects as well. Some call it bag holder, but I am forever in love with my "collectibles"!
