When you go to a new restaurant, how do you pick the meals to order? Do you pick something you are familiar with or you try something new?

I went to a new restaurant 1 month ago and i tried this cajun pasta, it was a disaster, I could not eat it at all💀

Social media manager on some days, law student on some other days. Currently learning french

If I’m eating there I rather eat what I know 
But if I’m ordering take out then I try new things at times 

I also try new food out if we are like a group at the restaurant (maybe like 3 or more) 
That way we can maybe swap with each other if one doesn’t like the food

I'll rather eat rice than eat something new😂

why can’t we be like the other children.

It depends, if it’s somewhere with good reviews I’ll take the risk to try something new otherwise I might just play it safe

I tried something I’m familiar with, I can’t waste my money 😭
