Tipping Point solves these problems by having campaign creators set certain requirements (like a minimum number of participants, and/or a certain amount of money to be raised), along with a deadline by which invitees can opt in and pledge funds. If the campaign hits its goals by the deadline, all pledges are immediately sent to the campaign creator. (Tipping Point collects a small fee from contributors if this happens; campaign creators never pay fees). If the campaign fails, no money moves and no fees are charged.
