Vipassana is good. Transcendental meditation is simplest imho, but they want you to pay for intro course. Meditating with Vervaeke on youtube is good. Vipassana. https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLND1JCRq8VujAHvDA482SXF1cJTQrwlx3&si=SgaY0vIzSEeiPWSl He’s a brilliant cognitive scientist. Lots of other great youtube guides…

in my vedanta book they also mention meditating with a mantra, which from what i have understood is similar to the "transcendental" practice. though from a video i watched once, i think transcendental asks you to create a mantra/word that is totally meaningless and keep it to yourself. i will check out the vids you sent! thanks

A big part of the attraction of tm is they assign the mantra based i think on age and gender and maybe some other stuff. I’ve heard you can find them online if you look hard enough. The app they give you is useful imho. The mantra is nice as it’s easy to come back to. Oh the Waking Up app is also great for $20/month. Enjoy!
