In case this isn’t clear to everyone, the bettification of all things is bad. Let’s say Israel bets anonymously that they will annex Syria, then they do so and their winning bet covers any sanctions cost. Betting is always corruptible. Always toxic. There is no good version of “prediction markets” and believing there is is naive and, sadly, dangerous.
