I used to write articles and post them to Mirror with collect enabled (usually capped supply of 420 on Optimism or Base). I’d make between $5 and $15 (usually 0.0042 ETH, which back then was in that range). Usually, between 1 and 5 people would collect the NFT of the article as a form of patronage and to be one of the few owners of the digital collectible. Sometimes, 10 or more people would. So I’d make between $5 and $150 per article, and I had a group of supporters holding illiquid collectibles, a sign they truly supported me. Now, I have a worthless fucking shitcoin that no one wants, which exists only to earn Zora trading fees, and I haven’t earned $5 in a year. I hate this timeline.
