Still I can’t see why anyone here cares about block lists. This isn’t “government,” it’s literally free association! Some folks freely created lists of who they don’t want to associate with and people can opt-in to those things if they so choose. I would use a blocklist that stopped me from seeing CSAM or murder content. And I would block or mute someone like Elon or Trump, because if I ever need to know something they’ve said, I can be notified by journalists and then unmute them to confirm for myself.
Blanked blocking, without any thought, is intellectually lazy, yes, but it’s opt-in. So let people be intellectually lazy; unless you want to be an authoritarian yourself
