What annoys me about this (as someone who isn’t even fond of IP laws), is that in developing this kind of thing, no one ever even considers profit sharing with the artists whose works “inspired” the AI effect. The issue would not even be borrowing, stealing, infringement etc if not for the sheer greed of those who build these tools that undermine artists by design.
