Wow this is actually a lot of good progress on Asahi. USB-C DisplayPort support is a key missing feature that sounds to be fixed or almost fixed, and the work being done to integrate Asahi’s partitioning system into installers for other distros could accelerate adoption.
M Series MacBooks are super lightweight, beautiful powerful, cost-to-performance effective, have great screens, keyboards, and trackpads, and exist plentifully in the market. Whatever you think of Apple or of ARM laptops in general, there’s value to this project.
