might sound odd to say, but i wish we were taught how to grieve.

from a young age, we learn how to speak, how to read, how to walk… but no one teaches us how to handle loss.

my dad taught me most of the things i know today, but not how to deal with his absence.

This really hit home. I still don’t know how to grieve either.
No one teaches you how to carry absence.
I’m still learning, slowly and your words made me feel less alone.
