Gas fees in native L1 tokens will eventually become a thing of the past as web3 aligns with better UX, stablecoin adoption in regulated environments, and mobile interfaces. 

Blockchains will either choose to sell blockspace as a commodity or achieve enough economic security to sell that security to appchains.
