Liberation arises when we see through the illusion, not when we try to fight it.. The ego is a mental pattern: the story we tell ourselves about who we are (our name, status, roles, past, and future). It’s useful in daily life but not our true essence. When we recognize it’s just a temporary mask or identity and not our real self, we stop being controlled by it.
