I decided to do a "Learning in Public" project. I want to improve my writing, but don't actually want to go to school for that - already working on one degree plan that will give me stuff to write about. So I had a bot craft a "DIY MFA in Creative Writing" for me. A list of recommended reading, both craft-related books and fiction works, as well as a variety of exercises to do towards refining my fiction and building a consistent practice of writing, submitting, and self-publishing.
First book on the list is Steering the Craft by Ursula K Le Guin, paired with her novel, The Dispossessed, recommended because ChatGPT knows I'm an Anarchist and thinks I'll vibe with her work :D
I'm already a really good writer.
I want to be better.
