You can pick the lowest setting if don't want to miss a thing or the higher settings if you're overwhelmed with notifications and want us to filter out the most important updates for you. Try these out today in Settings > Notifications, Settings > Feeds and Channel > Manage > Who can cast.

What is the Farcaster team working on? 1. Stability - a platform upgrade introduced a lot of mobile bugs. we're fixing them as fast as we can. 2. Clarity - notifications, feeds and channels have "magic" default settings that work for most users, but not everyone. we're adding more choices so people can choose the experience they want. 3. Growth - we're running experiments to get new users, and to help all users get more discovery in the feed through good recommendations by the feed algorithm. 4. Video - we're making video a first class citizen, and we're pretty excited about this. we'll have a beta soon, but it will take a few months before we get close to the major video apps in terms of ux. 5. A new experiment to help creator monetization (more details soon!) 6. Miniapps - we're continuing to fix minor issues, update docs and support developers as they are launching. 7. Snapchain - continuing to improve the developer experience.

Should Farcaster add a "staking" verification system? Please reply! Users can get "verified" badge by staking $10 USDC in a contract. The stake can be reclaimed at any time, but will only release after a delay (maybe 4-8 weeks). Verified users will get the following benefits: - Badge on profile. - Access to video uploads. - Show up higher in conversations. - A small boost in the rewards program. The goal is to make it harder for spammers to verify so that good humans on Farcaster have a better experience!

New board game: Dune Imperium Got into this over my last vacation and I'm really enjoying it. The main mechanic is worker placement which you use to fight battles on Arrakis and there's a small deck building component to it as well. The game comes from the same designers as Clank, which is a really fun deck building dungeon crawler. I'd give it a 7/10 - it's really fun, and the initial games are fast and enjoyable, but the complexity of the strategy isn't high enough for it to be compelling after you hit 50+ plays. Gameplay on the board is 1-2 hours, but on mobile tends to be closer to ~20 mins, which makes for easy playing.

We're simplifying how replies work on Farcaster. When you open a conversation, you’ll see replies from everyone who doesn't have a spam label. This is a big change from today, where we apply a lot more filtering by default. If you prefer more filtering, you can go to Settings > Feeds and set "Reply Filtering" to aggressive. This will only show from people you follow and algorithmic suggestions from Farcaster. This only applies to casts that aren't in channels, since some channels have more rules around who can reply. h/t to @akshaan for the ship!
