Why, what's worse in web3 with regards to creator monetization than in web2?

For one, creators lack a web3-native way to sell premium content. Authors, filmmakers, course creators, …even if web3 empowers them to control their content & own their fans, they don’t want their IP to be right-click-savable or token gated (mimics web2’s platform-centric model). That’s why we built Darkblock

Okay I’ll bite - I don’t see this as a problem. If you’re a filmmaker or author just because someone can right click doesn’t mean ip ownership. Unless you’re a Chris Nolan or Dr Seuss your biggest issue is distribution and attention.

I’m not talking about IP ownership. I’m talking about a creator’s ability to make a living from their work. An artist selling 1/1s is one thing. But we shouldn’t expect an indie author to enter web3 if their only option is to let people freely download their 300-page novel & just hope fans will also mint some.
