hifi

if I opened up hifi components (amps, preamps, DACs, etc.), photographed the internals, and explained their circuits, would any of you nerds be interested?

I really shouldn’t but I have found an exceedingly rare DAC from 1995 that I want to restore and hotrod.

please talk me out of it so that I don’t need to learn how to solder.

pretty sure I could find something yeah. the bigger question is whether I should just leave it to the pros haha.

Does radio shack still exist? Or frys? They usually got some easy kits for soldering practice.

I have done very little soldering so would need to get much better before actually working on anything valuable
