Gm Gm Saying 'I love you' to our parents isn't something we grow up hearing or saying often here in Africa. And it's not because love isn't there—it's because love here speaks in action, not in words. We wash the plates without being told, bring water from the well, help in the market, sweep the compound, or stay beside them quietly when they're sick. We grow up, get a job, and send money back home without them asking. Protecting their name, honoring their teachings, and never forgetting our roots—that's 'I love you.' It's rarely loud, but it's strong. We may not say the words, but we live the meaning. And somehow, our parents know—that behind every act of our respect, service, and sacrifice... is love, the one that's deep and true.
