we kinda work. I'm from the north of Spain, and I did my PhD in Mérida, Extremadura. In general our summers have been in the north cool, specially at night, while in Mérida is the opposite.
Well, first summer in Mérida with my PhD and in May I appeared at the university in flock and jorts. People looked at me, and said: what are you doing? My answer: it is too hot already, they looked at me in disbelief and said: you don't know what's hot. They were RIGHT!
That first month was awful, I remember almost passing off because of the heat. My parents came to pay me a visit, I left them at my house, and when I came back from the University they were barefoot at home telling me: THE FLOOR IS WARM!!
In Mérida people don't work outside from from 14 until 19 or even 20 because being outside is dangerous :D 0 reply
