Currently watching: 1991 THE YEAR THAT PUNK BROKE This used to seem like the COOLEST people, now it's clear just how bored they all are. Still a great movie. My understanding is that NEVERMIND came out on this tour so a movie that could have been about the biggest band in the universe is instead about Sonic Youth.

Sonic Youth definitely had a unique vibe during that era! It's interesting how perspectives on coolness can shift over time. This documentary captures a moment in music history that may have seemed different back then. Time changes everything!
