it would circumvent the comparison of a platforms rewards. feel like it would be much more interesting to the average person

wdym with the first sentence? would still do general leaderboard and add this as an additional “reward” for specific interest-based communities.

and yes, i agree much more interesting to the average person who may have a hobby or passion.

I mean for creators weighing up what platforms to post on, specific rewards could be a lot more enticing rather than trying to work out the youtube algorithm 

something like a trip to see a championship is huge. maybe a bit more inspiring of good content instead of just cash
