Wanna give a huge shoutout to @zora for constantly pushing the needle. The vision for an onchain social app is closer than it's ever been. The architecture feels right. Being able to buy viral posts and now profiles backed by a platform token is the strongest flywheel we've seen on this concept so far. What remains now is the quality of content and creators on the network which will inevitably grow in time. When I coined my Midnight Diner post I was quickly reminded that most people in crypto only care about things going 100x - not necessarily about what the content itself represents. The same applies to creator coins - where most holders today are buying for a hopeful future gain. Anyone who's been around the block knows this to be the case and with it a lot of built up stigma and baggage around having your own coin. All that said - I'm willing to bet that Zora cracks the code in time and that having a coin for your profile doesn't feel as "all-in" as it does today. We all have Tiktok, Instagram, Twitter and Youtube accounts. The analog I'm using is that your profile on Zora is like your profile on Instagram. Still a lot of weight around the first moment of launch but in time we'll come to see that those who consistently use the product will win. Congrats to the Zora team on launch and to a new chapter for creator coins (a vision many of us have had for 5+ years)!
