i'll break from you here, for 2 reasons - 1) not just zoomers, 2) not just the left. not by a longshot. i'm 36, and you can send my 70yo racist uncle into an anticommunist seizure by just saying "capitalism has flaws" (objectively true and not particularly inflamatory), but he'll sit around complaining about texas' power grid and how the greedy companies are fucking over americans. the zoomer left will have the same reaction if you say "communism has failed in the past" (also objectively true and not inflamatory), but it's not a phenomena specific to their upbringing. anyone who isn't formally educated on the terms isn't ready to hear them in healthy debate. you have a better discussion and you make more impact on your audience and you're more likely to find common ground if you dumb it down to "apes together strong".

I totally agree. I do not assert that this describes ONLY zoomers or leftists. Leftists movement building among future-generations is just the topic at-hand. Jonathan Haidt is correct in his book “The Constitution of Knowledge”— the anti-intellectual estrangement-arboretum of Web 2.0 afflicts the entire species. I also probably think more about how this affects the left @leewardbound because I expect, from a policy standpoint, for solutions to emerge from the left— or, at minimum, from fierce critiques of power and the status quo. I don’t expect solutions to emerge from the political right. So in some ways, saying the right is this way is like saying “lions have teeth.” Ostriches having teeth is much more noteworthy. Leftists co-opted by techno-feudalist oligarchs and unwittingly doing their discursive bidding are ostriches with teeth.
