Congressional republicans don’t want Trump’s tariffs to lead to losses in the next election bc A) they want to keep their majority B) they want to keep their seats so they can keep making $$$$ off of the influence, information, and power they currently have When Trump starts fucking up the bag for his fellow party members, they will retaliate.

Exactly. When their own power and profits are on the line, loyalty to Trump goes out the window. Self-interest always trumps party politics
