i made it to the final round of a job interview that would’ve been life-changing for my family and i, and i just found out i wasn’t chosen for the position. i’m still employed, so i’m grateful for that, but it’s such a bummer to feel so close to a great opportunity and barely miss the mark. before having kids, something like this wouldn’t have felt so painful, but now i want more for them. i’m sad, but appreciative that i at least can keep a roof over their head in trying times.
