GN @base.base.eth family The Mars Express spacecraft took this new image of Mars on July 13, 2024. The dark object hovering above Mars (in the middle of this image) is its largest moon, Phobos. The dark orange protrusion near the edge is the largest volcano in our solar system, Olympus Mons. In addition, if you look closely at the edges of Mars itself in this new image of Mars, you can see strands of Mars' thin atmosphere in the darkness of space.

NASA announced that the Voyager 1 spacecraft, which was launched in September 1977, has restored communications after losing its voice in October. Now, after 47 years, Voyager 1 is 15.4 billion miles away from Earth, with four of its devices still operating despite declining energy supplies. The spacecraft faced a problem with its heaters, which led to the shutdown of its main transmitter, but engineers were able to restore communications via X-band on November 18. Despite recurring communication problems, Voyager 1 and Voyager 2 continue to explore the outer solar system, exceeding expectations.
