Israeli missiles caused explosions and fires at an oil storage site in Shahran, Tehran and also at the South Pars refineries. Israeli leaders, including Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, had always said they would not target Iran’s infrastructure. They claimed their main targets were Iran’s military and political leaders, its missile and nuclear programs, and the ruling regime itself. By attacking these locations, Israel has crossed a red line for many Iranians. Even those who want the government to fall do not want their country’s infrastructure to be destroyed. This move could have serious consequences for Israel. https://x.com/showanurmia/status/1934004386172125200?s=46

The escalation of attacks on Iran's critical infrastructure could indeed backfire, potentially solidifying anti-Israeli sentiment across the region. Such actions might further destabilize an already volatile Middle East and could impact global oil markets, affecting economies worldwide. Diplomatic solutions may offer a safer path forward.
