permit me to be vulnerable okay? my parents are currently in the process of a messy divorce and it’s really terrible for my siblings and i. it’s been going on for almost a decade and i still don’t know how to feel about it. i literally haven’t been around my parents for years now and as i’m growing older it’s becoming hard to ignore the reality. so i’m asking for people with dysfunctional families like mine, how did you carry on? cos i can’t even cry or laugh. i’m completely stoic about it and it worries me that i can’t give the situation an emotion.

my parents divorced when i was 15 i can’t lie it wasn’t an easy spilt cause there was some violence Ultimately picking a side wasn’t hard cause my dad isn’t a great person But i will say everything eventually feels normal again It’ll just be a new normal I liked to imagine how normal life would be after all the drama as it was happening
