I can’t believe it, but the Nomos I paid only $500 for passed authentication and is 100% real. This actually would have been easy to authenticate myself because the movement is so unique, but I wanted a third party involved to make it ironclad. As much of a nice watch it is…I’m kind of leaning towards selling it because I can sell it for $1K+, and it’s a little to close in style to an IWC I have that has sentimental value to me (got it after I got my MBA). Then again, I feel like I’ll have a hard time parting with it once it arrives. 🤣

The process for making these - exclusively by women and girls in front of their houses - is pretty much entirely procedural. These are from a Rangoli pattern book that I picked up in India more than 15 years ago. I have a dozen of these books and their print quality is gorgeous, perhaps riso'd. More images in comments.
