I’m a 15+ year user of Evernote to track a bunch of digital things in my life
Yesterday I got a note that they were more than doubling their annual fee to $250/yr!
That’s just unreasonable for an app that has become bloatware for me
So in about an hour, I researched alternatives, downloaded my notebooks and launched Joplin. It fully synced overnight and is end to end encrypted
Joplin is free and open source (which I’m happy to support with gifts!) and uses my own Dropbox account to sync between phone and laptop.
Feeling good about that choice 😊
