when I compare a human dev's performance to cursor, the response is often rage quit. I understand, I had the same experience when Sid, a non-techie, showed me an app he built with cursor nearly 12 months ago. My initial response was anger "How could sid replace me with a robot so easily?" After a few days of wrestling with my emotions, I realized the AI tools are an opportunity for me to level up. It's only a threat if I shove my head in the sand and pretend this is not an inevitable change in what it means to write code. so, if you're a dev joining my team, know this I will 100% be comparing your output the that of AI If that makes you angry, don't bother applying. If you're willing to let go of who you were yesterday to adapt the new rules of today, let's build together
