What’s x402? x402 is an open standard that makes API monetization created by @coinbase Instead of signing up for Stripe, entering credit cards, managing API keys, and setting up billing for every service, all you need is a wallet. When you hit a paid API endpoint, it returns HTTP 402 with payment instructions. Your wallet pays. You get access. Done. x402 is great for one-off payments. There are already 2B transactions processing $216B+ in stablecoin supply. But what if those payments didn't stop after one request? Subscriptions, usage-based access, and services that charge while you're using them work better when money flows instead of stopping and starting. That's where Superfluid comes in.
