Day 2 streak: Need help, are there any alternatives to not having to stick a bamboo rod into the ground and tying it to my snapdragon? This is what my neighbor does, I don’t mind my Peonies but these snapdragons may have to go after this season..

Looking really lush! In the left picture, aren't those irises, not snapdragons? In our experience irises do need staking, especially the ones with a lot of flowerheads per stalk... can make them a bit top heavy! You could try a shorter rod, rather than a taller one. Just makes it less visually apparent. But then a strong wind may bend them.

You’re right they are Irises, thanks for correcting!! I like the idea of a shorter rod, appreciate the suggestion as well!

You're welcome! Let us know how you get on! I reckon a rod around half the height of the iris might be okay, tie it in two places high & low, and that should hopefully stop it from snapping/bending if a gust of wind comes!
