Behold, the Amadeus Rose, itβs a wall climber and will grow all the way to my second story window. This has to be cut to 2 feet every year.

Looks like a happy and healthy rose! One thing I've learned, is to never be afraid of pruning the hell out of established roses. We prune ours back so hard, and they grow back with vigour. 50 $DEGEN

Wait, so I plan on just cutting off the flowers once the petals start falling off but you prune further than that?

End of the season we'll prune them back very hard. During flowering season, I'll prune back as needed, sometimes it's just the flower, other times I'll go a few nodes back to maintain structure. Depends on many factors--for example if you get bunches of roses on a branch, I'd wait for them all to flower before cutting back a few nodes.
