Shardeum ($SHM) – A Disappointing Launch

Shardeum ($SHM) debuted with high expectations but quickly left many participants disillusioned. The token launched at an all-time high (ATH) of $0.60, only to plummet to $0.10 within minutes. It currently trades around $0.20, still far below its initial peak.

The overall sentiment around the project has been one of disappointment. Community members who actively participated in the ecosystem during its Testnet phase—many of whom farmed for over two years—were rewarded with a mere ~50 SHM, valued at less than $10 at current prices.

Node operators also faced setbacks, incurring significant operational costs with minimal returns. To compound frustrations, the presale price of SHM was higher than its eventual launch price, leaving early backers at a loss from day one.

Despite the long build-up and community involvement, Shardeum has failed to meet expectations both financially and in terms of community reward.
