Introducing GitCast.dev A feed of GitHub activity by Farcaster users you follow! Uses the new GitHub verification and with Neynar pulls an algorithmic list of people you follow that have one, then builds the feed with GitHub’s activity API. It is a bit slow due to looping over GitHub’s API so be patient!

I’ve always wanted something like a Farcaster GitHub client and this gets pretty close. Will definitely be playing with this one in the future so feel free to give feedback (apart from speed lol) about what you would like to see or do! If there are any optimization wizards out there the repo is open sourced :) I’m sure there’s some simple things I’m missing. https://github.com/stevedylandev/gitcast-server

Ideas: 1. A new client. 2. Client uses your Farcaster social network, and GitHub attestations to show you the GitHub feed. 3. Like = FIP-2 reaction. 4. Recast = FIP-2 reaction 5. Comment = FIP-2 Reply

There is some magic you could do with FIP-2 and IPLD, but I have not thought about it... But IPLD can be used to reference GitHub resources.

A cool thing is that if this really takes off, GitHub could use the Farcaster feed to reflect these reactions back to their website. Permissionlessly :-)
