Is my personal site using Astro running on Cloudflare?

(Btw Cloudflare is super affordable, I haven’t broken the free plan at all)

I'm using Astro for my site and Netlify for everything, no qualms honestly but I like Cloudflares suite of services more.

But if I want to quickly ship and build things like the cool kids are doing feels wiser to go to Vercel and it's well integrated Next.js 🥲

I guess I’m just using the free tier for everything 😁 if I had to pay I definitely wouldn’t be using it

No issues as I've never tried it! Been using Netlify since 2019 and had no reason to switch over.

In my mind Vercel is this cool and hip tool that was trying to get everyone (and did) and now they can charge hefty prices to anyone who's too knee deep into the ecosystem.

Have you had issues running Astro/Svelte on Vercel? I don’t use Next but I put everything on there still

Yup totally! Currently we use it for Orbiter’s backend and the worker that handles rendering websites:

If someone wants to dabble in Cloudflare workers (ie server code) my top recommendation is to check out the Hono QuickStart for Cloudflare https://hono.dev/docs/getting-started/cloudflare-workers

second time cloudflare comes up today and i feel like im a dinousaur running everything on my server lol

what’s it for? can you share a use case you are using those APIs for when integrated with a static frontend?

Yeah if you stick with Next.js don’t try to deploy it anywhere else but Vercel (unless it’s just static in which case use Orbiter ;) haha)
