I don't think I became more conservative with age. I still have the same values, but I don't trust the government to do (what I consider to be) its job. Ex: i don't want people to live below the poverty line. I don't accept it as a "necessary evil". I used to think robust welfare programs were the answer to keep people out of poverty. Now I believe cash welfare is the best answer, not because I don't think poor people deserve help, but because I believe welfare programs are keeping people poor. I don't consider myself libertarian, but maybe that's what I've become? (I still believe a federal government is necessary)
