somehow my crypto taxes get harder to manage with every tax year. there isn't even anyone i can pay to do it for me bc it requires so much context

need to classify and consolidate txs across CEXs/chains/wallets with context across different emails and social platforms (public and DMs), seems like such a hard problem

maybe the most unfair part is that many probably don't even know they should so they sleep fine at night anyway

NFA/NLA but have thoughts on typeloss matching (active role K-1/passthroughs) against capgains to reduce your tax liability? I swear half my connects that are also “Consultants” on the side do this every year.

yup. feels like that's a right of passage for anyone who has tried to pay their taxes on this stuff

17 was my first year, getting paid to work in crypto.  in 17 and 18 I put my salary tax money aside, but left it in crypto. market crashed ofc. this wasnt a good idea, and it left me with back taxes that took me a couple years to pay off
