Feed algos are good! But they are broken in important ways

1) it’s a channel directly to your brain - this is not inherently bad but it’s a vulnerability that we should account for 
2) they tend to optimize for metrics which turn out to be adversarial e.g. engagement

We can do better!

It's funny how limited interactions impact the algorithm that relies on said interactions

I think a great start would simply be more visibility into how and why you are seeing what you are seeing as the end user.

They are good *in theory* but rarely in practice.
