Mini apps should skip the "welcome to mini app" notifications. 
For a better welcome UX, it might be best to utilize some surface area on the mini app itself right after it has been added.

Generally speaking, notifications should not be used for actions that the user has triggered themselves.

Agree. Mini app should prime the user to add and it and confirm *in-app* that notifications have been enabled

Later I exit the app and see a notification from the app I just used - it’s pointless

Builds recognition of the icon and habit. 

Remember, power user pov is not what an average new user thinks!

Are you tracking whether users are actually opening that welcome notification?

Actually now that you discuss it I only realize that Kiwi users may add the mini app but then won‘t get a notification until days later which them might also confused them, so adding a notification right after subscribing could better signify to them that „adding the mini app worked“

I’m not sure I understand - i find it hard to believe people open notifications from apps they just closed, but would be convinced by data that says otherwise
