Ideally engage in the community a bit, understand nouns and what sort of proposals are typically funded and why yours would make sense. Should be able to answer “why nouns” 

1. Put up a candidate proposal to get feedback 
2. Respond to candidate feedback, do not just rush into an onchain prop 
3. Join nouncil call on Thursdays to share more about prop
4. Go live, possibly post about it in /nouns to help stoke engagement
