i feel what you’re saying here, if these types of allowlists just repeat institutional investment lockouts that wouldnt be good. but i think we can define “earn” as “permissionless on-chain action that gets you access to a coin” and that makes it incentive aligned w/o gating

the token design space is wide and we are very used to tokens that live on a bonding curve and buying/selling as the primary method of participating - but it doesnt _have_ to be that way, lots of more interesting options for folks who want to play longer-term games

💯 the entire industry is functionally wearing blinders about what is possible in the token design space. every token doesnt need to be liquid, or even fixed supply

listening to Techmeme Podcast & Chris Messina & Jay Graber describing things that have been happening on Mirror & Farcaster and broadly the crypto/DAO space for the past few years and gritting my teeth 😇 https://podcastaddict.com/techmeme-ride-home/episode/171596398

explaining the value of climate preservation/stabilization through @0xstark.eth 's hardness: if the ice caps melt, the (very valuable) information stored there that could be mined (cored) will be lost permanently. hardness is afforded to ice by our current climate.

was surprised to not see the Matrix abstraction leak kedi in the talk (but probably the most obvious reference to make) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XfEuxRDYiyc

love this, thinking of "Notes from Deep Time" - that rocks (and water, when cold enough) are just data compressed over deep time, and that saving the climate is also about saving data, saving the past is saving the future.
